I’m sure that some of you are aware that UPS is facing a potential driver strike at the end of July. While this is going to be a problem, I’ll still be doing my best to ship packages using other delivery services.
UPS handles about 50% of all package deliveries in the US…A strike here will definitely have an impact on businesses like mine, and even if I continue shipping via FedEx or USPS, their systems will become quickly overloaded, and delays, damages, and lost packages are going to be on the increase.
I intend to stop shipping with UPS on Monday, July 24, to ensure there are no packages in the UPS system prior to a walk off.
I know this is going to test everyone’s patience. Lets hope this either doesn’t materialize, or resolves quickly after it starts…a strike is not what UPS wants or needs.
