Description
Display Shell Casings received from your loved one’s Military Funeral. A part of many military funerals are the ceremonial firing of three rifle volleys in honor of the deceased. Three spent shell casings are often presented to his or her next of kin, sometimes more. The three casings are presented separately to the family after the ceremony has concluded, before leaving the cemetery. The casings can be presented “loose” or they can be placed into a display box or bag. Many times as well, the casings are folded into the flag by the Honor Guard.
Hardwoods
• A Special note regarding Cherry:
Cherry is a hardwood with a Light Red /Brown color and a Fine Grain Pattern. With exposure to light and oxygen, Cherry Hardwood will develop a Patina and darken dramatically over time. You will notice after as little as 30 days that the cherry wood has darkened. Cherry will eventually become a medium/dark reddish brown color on its own. I do not stain these beautiful woods to make a color. Take a look and contact me if you have questions!
