Imagine a day…it could be today, when time suddenly lurches into the future. So far into the future that we’ll have to relearn how everything works. For instance, yesterday, our office phone would ring, and I could walk over to the telephone closest to me, and answer the call. The technology was simple…You’d give me a call from you cell phone. The signal from your phone would bounce from satellite to satellite, then back down to my location where the signal was converted from a cell signal, into a more 20th century version of communication, a Landline…super easy.
But what a difference an hour can make!
Well, as it turns out…this mode of communication is less than ideal in the 21st century…the conversion process is no longer being supported . Good news is that we’ve streamlined the process of making these connections. We’ve eliminated the middleman and just made everything a cellular signal. We’ll also have just one location to receive these communications…and it’s attached to us…all of the time, during regular business hours.
Our effort now is to adapt to this environment, and join the 21st century, by attaching an additional phone number to one of us, where we can be reached.
Our Office Number will stay the same! 937-999-4682 will work in perpetuity…but now, you can also reach the Shop part of my business at 937-977-8190 where we can talk about the same stuff as we would if you had called the office! Awesome!!!
The other cool part about this change is that you can also send text messages to either number! Now, I won’t say that we’ll get right back to you if you do this…but we WILL get back to you. As well, you can, and should continue to use the old standby…email @ shadowboxguru@gmail.com regarding specifics about orders. Texts will be great for simple questions! Emails help us keep better track of what we are doing for you…we create a personal folder for information regarding your order, including artwork, engraving info, contact info, payments, and your actual order! All of this information is stored (apparently) in a huge machine that orbits the earth a few thousand feet off the ground!
When you jump into the future over night (way too fast for an old man) you’ll find you aren’t as young as you were! But let’s continue to move forward…Gracefully!
