It Christmas time again and people turn their attention to giving to others.

If you are like me, you are just now starting to realize that Christmas is right around the corner and haven’t done anything about it (OH NO!)! My procrastination typically leads me to making panicked decisions about what purchase as a gift for my wife or kids…gotta say…I’m not good at, nor do I like shopping. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be rummaging through Amazon.com for something…Anything to give for Christmas…This is difficult! Especially when I make things that people like to give at Christmas time, and focus much of my stamina on making what I can for others during the next month.

Our personalized Flag Cases have traditionally been quite a popular item to give at this time of the year. But the Truth is that I’m typically booked in October for Holiday Deliveries. Every Christmas, I try to make folks happy by offering a unique presentation for late shoppers. Wow! We are half way through the year already! As usual, things stay hopping around here, and the summer months also have me doing all of the same chores as everyone else…yard work, home maintenance, and trying to squeeze in a little family time too!

Never out of my thoughts though,  are the projects and orders that I have to build and the customers who are patiently waiting on their special pieces.  I truly dedicate my time to making some of the nicest flag cases and shadow boxes that can be had anywhere. If you visit the gallery pages on this site, you’ll come to realize that, for one person, I make a lot of stuff! Nothing here is imported or sub-contracted.  Everything is individually made to order, and I pay attention to each box personally.

The summer months are going to fly by, and I hope we all have an opportunity to enjoy some of it. But, time does what it does, and before we know it, we are looking down at the road to the Holidays at the end of the year.  I’ll tell you that in the months of November and December, I’ll get absolutely over run with orders for Christmas…and there is no way that I can fill so many orders, all needing to be done by the same day. I do try to make special accommodations for this (more on that as the season gets closer), but I do not take short cuts to make things quicker, I just try to make all of my projects right, and that takes time.

If you are going to consider the purchase of a flag case or shadow box from me, I am grateful!  But please keep in mind that I do not out-source anything.  Please allow the time for your project to be made to the high standards that I have. Please Plan Ahead!

Pictures of  completed wood shadow boxes on the other hand are harder to get a hold of….

For the most part,  the shadow boxes that I make here are sent out empty for you to assemble yourselves.  This process is easy and hopefully customers find that putting their piece together is enjoyable and rewarding. I always like to see photos of the finished product too! Making these shadow boxes for you is certainly something I love to do, and seeing them hanging on the wall of your homes is the Icing on the Cake of my Day lol…I appreciate the extra time it takes for you to touch base and share a picture or two of your finished product!

As well, I take pictures of almost everything I make…even if it’s just an empty box. Many of the “Dog House” style (flag box/shadow box combos) cases leave here empty, and while they look great, any picture that I take of them doesn’t do them any justice…so they are just left in the file….

Now I’ll have to admit, Photography was my college major, and I’m a bit picky about pictures that are used on the website as they are a representation of  what I make. Hopefully, the kind folks who share their photos won’t be offended if their picture doesn’t make it to the gallery pages.  With editing software, I can often make  marginal pictures into  very usable images that show off both the box and the items inside….but sometimes, I can’t.

But all of the pictures you send are worth seeing, and to all of you out there that send a picture, I say Thank You!
